Starting something new can feel a little uncertain, especially when it comes to your health. If you're thinking about booking your first foot care appointment with Sole Survivor Foot Care, this post will walk you through what to expect, so you feel prepared, comfortable, and confident.
I provide mobile foot care, which means I come to you, whether that’s your home, assisted living facility, or another safe and private location within the Fredericton North, Pepper Creek, or Chipman area.
👋 The First Visit: Step-by-Step
✅ 1. Introduction & Health Review
We’ll start with a friendly hello and a quick review of an intake form. I’ll ask about your health history, foot concerns, and anything else that may affect your care.
👣 2. Foot Assessment
Next, I’ll do a full assessment of your feet, which includes:
Skin and nail condition
Circulation and sensation checks
Mobility and gait observations (if needed)
Areas of pain, pressure, or concern
This assessment helps me create a plan tailored to your specific needs.
🧼 3. Foot Care Treatment
Based on your assessment, I’ll provide gentle, professional foot care which may include:
Nail trimming and filing
Reduction of thick or fungal nails
Corn and callus reduction
Education and recommendations
All tools are sterilized according to Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) standards for your safety by me.
💬 4. Aftercare & Education
Before I go, we’ll talk about what I observed, any concerns I noticed, and how you can take care of your feet between visits. I’ll also let you know when to book your next appointment, depending on your needs.
🪑 What You’ll Need for the Visit
A clean, well-lit space with a chair (I’ll bring a footstool and all equipment)
